Why We Built This Site
Michigan opens a fair amount of court information to the public, but a warrant does not sit in one tidy location. In this county the records split along court lines. The 51st Circuit Court keeps felony, serious misdemeanor, family, and juvenile files. The 79th District Court keeps traffic, ordinance, misdemeanor, arraignment, and probation files. The Friend of the Court handles support enforcement and sends readers to the state's support portal. The sheriff's office serves warrants and runs the jail, and its public site lists no warrant register at all.
The state layer adds its own limits. MiCOURT is a public case search rather than a warrant database, and its own notice says the court of record controls the file. A state criminal history check through the Michigan State Police expressly leaves warrant information out. LEIN, the law-enforcement network, is restricted to authorized agencies and is not a public lookup.
That combination trips people up. A reader checks one system, sees nothing, and concludes there is no warrant. We built this site so the order of checks makes sense and the reader knows which office to call when an online result comes back empty.
What You Will Find Here
The pages follow the same order a search runs: find the case, read the record, then work out who holds the answer and how to resolve it.
- Warrant searches: how a warrant search works here, which court holds what, and why a name may not appear
- Outstanding warrants: what an active warrant means when no county list exists
- Missed court dates: how bench warrants arise in district and circuit cases
- Criminal charges: how arrest warrants are issued, served, and confirmed
- Traffic matters: how a traffic warrant and a license hold are cleared on separate tracks
- Published lists: what a most wanted list does and does not tell you
- Resolving a warrant: the steps to address a warrant, from calling the issuing court to posting bond and asking about a recall
What We Cannot Do
This site is a private reference resource. It has no connection to any Michigan court, sheriff's office, or state agency, and there are firm limits on what it can do:
- We cannot run an official warrant check or tell anyone whether a warrant exists
- We cannot recall, quash, serve, or clear a warrant on any system
- We cannot accept a bond payment or take money toward a case
- We cannot schedule an appearance, a surrender, or a court date
- We cannot give legal advice or say how a warrant applies to a specific person
- We cannot promise that every office hour, fee, or phone number listed here is current today
Only the issuing court, or the sheriff's office holding the process, can confirm whether a warrant exists and whether it has been recalled or served. We point readers to that office, and the answer has to come from the office itself.
Search Partners
Some pages here carry a search box supplied by an outside provider. Those providers run their own services and set their own prices. When a search leads to a paid signup, this site may receive a referral fee, which helps cover the cost of keeping the pages up. We do not control what a provider charges or what its results contain, and its output is not an official warrant check.
